VIRTUAL DESIGN

A practical design option if you prefer to style and purchase on your own. Similar to the full service option, The design process begins with an on-site consultation, conducted virtually or in person if you are located within our service area. After the consultation, all communication takes place virtually, from presentation of the design concept to final selections and layout. All furnishings are available for direct purchase online or locally if applicable. A detailed shopping list with links for all selected items is provided. Typically a flat fee based service.

DESIGN CONSULTATION

All services start here, but sometimes a simple style refresh or general guidance may be all you need. The consultation only option is perfect for a variety of small design projects. During our visit , we'll discuss your specific needs and goals and point you in the right direction with customized ideas and recommendations for each room or area.  Virtual consultations are also available, Up to 1.5 hours, 

RATES AND DETAILS

Virtual Design projects and Design Consultations are flat-fee based services.

For Full Service projects, design hours are charged at an hourly rate. Before work begins, we provide a written estimate of design hours required for your project, for example 15-20 hours. Furnishings and accessories and any required contract labor are estimated and billed separately once final selections have been made.

FAQ

HOW LONG DOES THE DESIGN PROCESS TAKE?​

Larger full service projects can take anywhere from

3-6 months, and the timeline depends largely on how quickly decisions and selections are made plus the lead time for custom furnishings. A virtual design project typically takes 3-4 weeks from start to finish. 

HOW INVOLVED WILL I BE IN THE DESIGN PROCESS?

Every client's comfort level is different, however, most  clients are busy and prefer to limit their involvement to the key decisions. A design project is a complex process with many small details and moving parts. We find that clients who rely on our design vision and execution are able to enjoy the fun parts of the process and avoid getting overwhelmed.

CAN I USE SOME OF MY EXISTING FURNISHINGS?​

We love to incorporate a treasured piece or mementos that work with your design concept and overall aesthetic. With that in mind, experience shows that most clients are happiest with the end result when they are able to "let go" of most of their space's existing pieces.

WHERE DO YOU WORK?

Projects typically take place in Charlotte and the surrounding areas, but work is possible anywhere. Recent out of town works include projects in the NC Mountains, Georgia, Virginia and Florida. For more information about the process for out of town clients, please contact us.
